training curricula and materials to facilitate transfer of know-how to apprentices willing to undergo crash courses and rigid skills trainings sponsored by the government and non-government partners working to alleviate the lives of the less fortunate, out-of-school youth, poor and jobless.Advanced audio and visual aides used as prime instructional materials and for skills development are placed accessible to students at the AG&P Library.Our Bolo Dormitory and TRADES School are capable of supporting recreational in-door and out-door activities basic to physical and mental enhancement. The Theater house presents movies uplifting morale values, psychological development and emotional quotient. The Chapel, house for prayer, raises the spirit and brings our students closer to God. The Refectory and Gymnasium invigorate and replenish nutrition needed to keep the body strong, active and healthy.Preliminary Stage in recruitmentWe engage in the conduct of occupational skills education, development and enhancement through programs and events for manpower such as but may not be limited to trainings, seminars, workshops.Under strict recruitment and selection process we enjoin the less fortunate, able, willing, deserving indigents to undergo AG&P standard IQ, PT, Med and EQ tests which shall prepare them to local and international employment.Establishing and maintaining a free-open-mechanism to transparent communication with accredited educators, government agencies, sponsors and benefactors, to assist in developing ways to improve technical skills work out programs through continuous research, syllabi upgrade and trainer’s training and re-trainings programs.To fortify AG&P Institute of Science and Technology, the TRADES (Technical Resources Development & Enhancement Scholarship) and AG&P Foundation, Inc. provide advance industrial welding courses, structural fitting, pipe fitting, rigging, drafting, estimating and related engineering courses.Our focusEvery parent envisions his/her child to attain excellence in any field of endeavor to secure the future. Every Filipino leader moves ahead through electoral reforms and creating laws to secure livelihood betterment. The core of charity to improve subsistence needs to be more permanent to produce a more self-reliant Filipino culture. To achieve these, the government has introduced the “PGMA 1 million jobs program of 2005 and 2006”. AG&P focuses on these program as we invite the willing and able from Gawad Kalinga, ABS-CBN bayan foundation, Couples-for-Christ youth, PSFI, Bureau of Alternative Learning Systems, Out-of-school youths, Philippine Employment Services Office (PESO), calamity stricken area workers/applicants, NGO funded indigents, walk-in applicants and many others.
Giving these hopefuls a chance to train/study vocational crafts on specialized skills will fulfill dreams of edification with guaranteed employment which will sustain a decent family for a life time thus producing a better society and peaceful Philippine government.The EmploymentThe world has globally set industrial phase into action in the third calendar quarter of 2004 and has continued to progress within the tri-annual cycle. The demand for skilled workers on industrial field has surmounted global charts placing the Philippines as the prime human exporter of the world evidenced by the strengthening of PESO over the US Dollar on 2007. Remittances from overseas manpower have braced up the Philippine economy this year by 68% building a stronger nation under the leadership of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.More and more companies are going into skills development as market seems to be focusing on their potential to answer the ever growing need in industrialization and globalization. After the 45 days training these students will stand high amidst competition bearing the competency of AG&P and TESDA in Welding, Pipe Fitting or Scaffolding.
Where to get trainees?1. Ready listAG&P has in it pooling at least 500 names in the general AG&P 201 file list of applicants waiting to be called for training. They have undergone first phase recruitment and have passed written exams under AG&P Standards. The Psychological examination, interview and medical exams will need to follow soon as they are elected to join specialized trainings.These applicants came from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao with no prejudice on religion, race and dialect. coordinator.tschool@agp.phSponsors may facilitate at their end, prepare and conceptualize criteria for selection of candidates for any skill field they intend to promote.After selection, they may send all candidates who have already passed their screening to AG&PFI Technical School for selection where the latter will choose only the most qualified nominees under another AG&P selection process.The WELDING/PIPEFITTING LEVEL 1 (Zero knowledge)Zero knowledge is defined as aspirants without any formal or informal education in welding, pipefitting, scaffolding, other technical and industrial field of learning. These students must either be high school graduates or have passed the Alternative Learning System tests. 18 to 38 years old and is of good moral character. An added factor if he has a certificate from government, issued clearance/s or school diplomas.The training will last for One month and fifteen days (45 days) or 360 hours on 25/75 learning ratio where 25% is theory and 75% is hands-on. The On-the-job training comes after 360 hours and is determinant by the manpower demand inside the AG&P yard before hiring.The WELDING/PIPEFITTING LEVEL 2 (Basic Knowledge)
Basic knowledge is defined as aspirants with prior formal and/or informal education in welding, pipefitting, scaffolding, other technical and industrial field of learning. These students are either high school graduates or have passed the Alternative Learning System tests (Alternative and Equivalency tests), TESDA Competent, any accredited Technical school graduate. 26 to 38 years old and is of good moral character. An added factor if he has any certificate from government, issued clearance/s or school diplomas.The training will last for One month and fifteen days (45 days) or 360 hours on 25/75 learning ratio where 25% is theory and 75% is hands-on. The On-the-job training comes after 360 hours and is determinant by the manpower demand inside the AG&P yard before hiring.Certifications, Syllabi and Diplomas (International Qualifications)
A complete portfolio of manuals and text book shall be awarded to each successful trainee before the start of the training.A compiled set of syllabus shall be given to each student before the start of classes which shall be their guide through the entire learning process.After completion of Level 2 training each student will receive a diploma of completion and is qualified to receivea certificate of achievement. Each student shall also receive an English 101 certificate and a binding labor contract for two (2) years. Each trainee is required to take an international welding competency test (TUV) by a third party to be an eligible international welder. Pipe fitters are expected to pass the third party (TUV) testing to be eligible international pipe fitters.On-the-Job-trainings
The necessity to harness what was learned during the course, AG&P has developed an on-the-job training which places the apprentice to real life-drama and employment exercise. The trainees are exposed to projects monitored by strict quality assurance and control. The produce of our OJTs are lined with those from professionals which becomes part of their learning experience in real-life-environment. OJT are usually measure between 120 to 600 hours yard exercises. They are graded independently and are introduced to conflicts happening in regular workplace and more complex working environment, usually under greater pressure and untamed weather conditions.Employment

There is AG&P is willing to hire graduates after skills training only if there are projects available. There is obvious return of investment to sponsors and benefactors as they see their scholars prepare for a brighter future with the leading fabrication and forming company in ASIA and the world. The Atlantic, gulf and pacific company of Manila Foundation Inc. will provide upgrade trainings and expanded education anytime the sponsors require as these students parade the sponsor’s logo and insignia on their uniforms for the entire stay with AG&P.
